CINNAMON ROLLS
CINNAMON ROLLS
🌟 INGREDIENTS:
For the dough:
- 4 and 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 4 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
🌟 INSTRUCTIONS:
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes or until foamy. Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, salt, and flour. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 6-8 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
Roll out the dough into a large rectangle (about 16x20 inches) on a lightly floured surface. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Roll up the dough tightly from the long side into a log shape. Pinch the seam to seal it closed. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss (this method helps prevent squishing the rolls while cutting them).
Place the rolls in the prepared pan, leaving some space between them to allow for expansion during baking.
Cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until puffy.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top and cooked through in the center (a toothpick inserted into the center of a roll should come out clean).
Allow rolls to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before drizzling them with glaze and serving.
To make the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until smooth. Drizzle glaze over the rolls just before serving.
I love you all ❤️💕🥰
