  These Red Velvet Marble Cupcakes combine a light vanilla batter with  rich red velvet swirl and are topped with a beautifully marbled red velvet cream cheese frosting. Perfect for any celebration!

Ingredients:
For the Cupcakes:

1/2 cup milk, room temperature ๐Ÿฅ›
1/2 cup sour cream, room temperature ๐Ÿถ
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour ๐ŸŒพ
2 tablespoons cornstarch ๐ŸŒฝ
1/2 teaspoon baking powder ๐Ÿง
1/4 teaspoon baking soda ๐Ÿฅ„
1/2 teaspoon Kosher or sea salt ๐Ÿง‚
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature ๐Ÿงˆ
1 cup granulated sugar ๐Ÿฌ
2 large eggs, room temperature ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿฅš
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract ๐Ÿจ
For the Red Velvet Portion:

1 tablespoon cocoa powder ๐Ÿซ
1 tablespoon milk ๐Ÿฅ›
1-2 teaspoons liquid red food coloring (or gel + water) ๐Ÿ”ด
For the Marbled Red Velvet Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese, softened ๐Ÿง€
1 cup unsalted butter, softened ๐Ÿงˆ
1 lb confectionerโ€™s sugar ๐Ÿฌ
Pinch of Kosher or sea salt ๐Ÿง‚
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract ๐Ÿจ
1 tablespoon natural unsweetened cocoa powder ๐Ÿซ
1-2 teaspoons liquid red food coloring ๐Ÿ”ด
Instructions:
1๏ธโƒฃ Make the Cupcakes:

Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (180ยฐC) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a liquid measuring cup, whisk together the milk and sour cream. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat the butter until light and fluffy. Add sugar and continue beating. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Gradually mix in half of the dry ingredients, followed by half of the milk mixture. Repeat with the remaining ingredients until just combined.
2๏ธโƒฃ Make the Red Velvet Portion:

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of the batter with cocoa, milk, and red food coloring. Stir to combine.
3๏ธโƒฃ Assemble the Cupcakes:

Add 1 tablespoon of plain batter to each liner, followed by 1 tablespoon of red velvet batter, then another tablespoon of plain batter. Fill liners 2/3 full.
Tap the pan on the counter to release air bubbles. Bake for 18-19 minutes,
