Heavenly Vanilla Butter Cake 🎂🍰
Ingredients:
Cake:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Prepare Frosting: In a large bowl, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth. Add heavy cream and vanilla extract, and beat until light and fluffy.
Assemble Cake: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of frosting on top. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake. Decorate as desired.
